We are a leading manufacturer of wood products, seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team. Our company is committed to producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and physically capable individual to operate computerized and manual woodworking machines, fabricate and repair wooden parts, and perform various tasks related to wood products manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.
  • Fabrication and Repair: Fabricate or repair wooden parts, including gluing pieces or wood together, pressing and affixing wood veneer to wood surfaces, and operating preset special purpose woodworking machines.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, and replace parts as required.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Operate computerized woodworking machines, gluing machines, and other equipment related to wood products manufacturing.
  • Physical Demands: Work in a physically demanding environment, performing repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Security and Safety: Pass a criminal record check.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is available.
Working Conditions

The work environment is noisy, and the work setting is a wood products manufacturer. The work term is temporary, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
