About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Planet Wood Exteriors Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to create high-quality structures.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
  • Physically demanding role requiring manual labor, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in carpentry or a related field an asset.
