About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fairmont Gold Supervisor to join our team at Fairmont Banff Springs. As a Fairmont Gold Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring that our guests feel welcomed, cared for, and incredible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm, anticipated service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests.
  • Perform all front desk duties, including accurately posting charges, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, auditing, and reporting.
  • Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Provide exceptional concierge information to guests about local attractions, restaurants, theaters, special events, tickets, and other available services.
  • Be available for shift work, including weekends, mornings, and evenings.
  • Ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience for all guests through coordination of market mix and VIPs.
  • Empower colleagues to resolve guest service challenges and track and follow up on guest issues to ensure service recovery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of previous front desk supervisory experience in a large hotel, preferably.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Micros-Opera PROPERTY Manager, Word, and Excel.
  • Previous experience in Royal Service and/or dealing with guest recovery, with excellent recovery skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Graduate of Hotel Management or Hospitality program, an asset.
  • Highly organized, innovative, and results-oriented, with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Solutions-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Constant sitting, standing, and walking throughout shift.
  • On occasion, must be physically able to lift guest luggage and assist to guest room.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and possess ProServe certification.
