Your Role:

This position is pivotal in overseeing the technical and administrative processes involved in the creation, formulation, dispensing, quality assurance, and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals produced at the facility. The role also emphasizes maintaining laboratory hygiene, ensuring radiation safety, and supporting the packaging and transport of radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Radiopharmacy Specialist, you will be tasked with the preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals utilizing both commercial kits and raw materials. You will play a crucial role in the operation and upkeep of scientific apparatus, adhere to radiation safety protocols, develop and document Standard Operating Procedures, manage inventory levels, and assist in the packaging and logistics of radiopharmaceuticals.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Chemical Technology, or a health sciences degree from a recognized institution. A valid driver's license is necessary. Candidates must be capable of handling and transporting moderately heavy (up to 22 kg) lead and other radioactive shielding and shipping containers.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science in chemistry, pharmacy, or physical sciences, or a technical diploma in a relevant scientific field, or equivalent training or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Training in Radiation Safety and Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be provided if necessary. Previous experience (2-5 years) in managing radioactivity or in radiopharmacy or related fields is advantageous. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, particularly lead shielding, and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices are preferred.
