Role Summary

In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to our mission, ensuring the delivery of reliable, precise, and compassionate services to our patients and referring healthcare professionals. You will collaborate with a team committed to executing high-quality Nuclear Medicine assessments. Your ability to work independently and take initiative will be essential, as you will be expected to provide safe and efficient Nuclear Medicine services while minimizing patient discomfort.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conducting quality assurance procedures on laboratory equipment and imaging devices.
  2. Managing the procurement of daily isotopes and departmental supplies.
  3. Administering, documenting, and delivering patient doses.
  4. Engaging with patients to gather medical histories.
  5. Setting up intravenous lines and electrocardiogram leads.
  6. Performing cardiac stress evaluations, including MIBIs and standard stress tests.
  7. Preparing cardiac stress agents and antidotes.
  8. Overseeing patient recovery following cardiac stress assessments.
  9. Executing scans for a variety of Nuclear Medicine examinations.
  10. Completing necessary documentation, compiling previous studies, and requesting X-rays as needed.
  11. Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the work environment.
  12. Coordinating with the Nuclear Medicine Manager regarding coverage for absences and appointments.
  13. Manufacturing, quality controlling, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals from the Insight Radiopharmacy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Thorough understanding of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine protocols and methodologies.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of imaging requirements for various examinations.
  3. Familiarity with technical specifications for requested assessments.
  4. Understanding of examination storage and retrieval systems.
  5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with colleagues and management.
  6. Ability to make informed decisions and implement them effectively.
  7. Self-motivated and proactive.
  8. Capability to maintain composure in high-pressure or emotionally charged situations.
  9. Clinical proficiency in medical nuclear imaging.
  10. Strong interpersonal abilities.
  11. Dedication to excellence in patient care, quality assurance, and adherence to imaging standards.
  12. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team or work autonomously.
  13. Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
  1. CAMRT/ACMDTT certification in good standing.
  2. Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
  3. Current CPR certification.
