POSITION OVERVIEW

The role is situated within a premier Outland camp facility, featuring a work schedule of 14 days on followed by 14 days off, with daily working hours. Transportation to the site is arranged from designated pickup points.

The Facility Maintenance Attendant plays a crucial role in upholding the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities to the highest standards. Given the expansive nature of the site, this position requires considerable mobility, moving between various locations throughout the camp.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleanliness of the camp and surrounding areas through: sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, washing windows, cleaning interior walls and ceiling vents; vacuuming and sanitizing all camp areas.
  • Thoroughly wash, scrub, and sanitize designated kitchen and dining facilities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain standards.
  • Clear snow from walkways, stairs, and landings.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Assist in monitoring inventories and cleaning supplies.
  • Transport supplies, including housekeeping essentials and water jugs.
  • Manage waste disposal around the camp.
  • Perform cleaning of common areas, including the lobby, bathrooms, and offices, twice daily.
  • Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including clearing litter and cigarette waste.
  • Operate a company vehicle for the transportation of supplies and personnel over long distances.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by site management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with standard cleaning protocols, chemicals, products, and equipment.
  • Background check is mandatory.
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Experience in a camp setting or hotel/institutional environment is preferred; commercial cleaning experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
