Position Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, package, and label pharmaceutical products accurately.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing workflow efficiently.
  • Maintain and prepare equipment and supplies for pharmacy operations.
  • Reassemble equipment and organize sterile supplies for distribution.
  • Process billing for third-party insurers.
  • Compound various forms of medications, including oral solutions, ointments, and creams.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of medications and prescription records.
  • Handle claims processing for health insurance and workers' compensation.
  • Collect and manage statistical data.
  • Perform general clerical duties to support pharmacy operations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of collection areas.
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception and appointment scheduling.
  • Order necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory systems.
  • Confirm and schedule appointments as needed.
  • Provide assistance to healthcare professionals in their duties.
Technical Skills
