About the Role

Niagara Children's Centre is a leading provider of rehabilitation and support services to children and youth with physical, developmental, and communicative delays and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication difficulties in children and youth
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address communication challenges
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve treatment goals
  • Provide education and support to children, youth, and their families on effective communication strategies and techniques
  • Utilize a range of assessment and treatment approaches, including augmentative and alternative communication
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Strong understanding of speech language therapy principles and practices
  • Ability to identify goals and develop effective treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingualism considered an asset
