Join FPInnovations as a Health and Safety Specialist Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team as a Specialist Intern. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of new HSE policies and procedures, support training initiatives, and assist in the implementation of our new HSE platform.

About the Role
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in HSE and develop new policies and procedures.
  • Support the training organization and assist in the development of training materials.
  • Assist in the implementation of our new HSE platform and ensure its effective use across the organization.
  • Collaborate with OHS committees to ensure compliance with HSE legislation and regulations.
  • Collect and analyze data related to risk analysis and accident investigations.
  • Produce analysis reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's undergraduate University program with a specialty in HSE.
  • Knowledge of British-Columbia and Quebec HSE legislation, with other provinces being an asset.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English and French (oral and written).
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
