Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Health and Safety Team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement OH&S policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards.
- Deliver training and education programs to employees on OH&S principles and practices.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement strategies for improving workplace safety and health.
- Represent Fraser Health on various internal and external committees related to OH&S.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from a recognized program.
- Five years of recent experience in a unionized environment and registration as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
