About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Mechanic and Millwright to join our team at GTA Skilled Trades. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment
    • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
    • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
  • Installation and Setup
    • Install new machinery and equipment
    • Set up and configure machinery and equipment for optimal performance
  • Operational Support
    • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
    • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality
    • Identify and report any quality control issues
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
    • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
  • Experience and Skills
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
    • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and bending
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
