About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at La Rocca Creative Kitchen Midtown. As a key member of our pastry team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including cakes, pastries, and breads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery as needed.
  • Special Orders: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
