Position: Electrical Engineering ProfessionalCompany: Aerospace Canada
Role Overview:
- Conduct initial assessments and cost estimates for electrical and automation initiatives across diverse manufacturing settings.
- Develop comprehensive electrical schematics.
- Perform on-site evaluations and measurements to devise optimal solutions for internal stakeholders.
- Design, validate, and authorize electrical schematics and calculations.
- Generate as-built documentation following project completion.
- Assist the project management team with technical support.
- Create 3D models and 2D schematics for various systems and equipment.
- Select suitable commercial components and prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Collaborate with fellow designers, project managers, and electricians to ensure thorough technical oversight of projects.
- Provide technical assistance to the maintenance team and engage in post-project reviews.
- Deliver constructive feedback to stakeholders and take part in initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Membership in OIQ.
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical design.
- Proficient in 600Vac, 120Vac distribution, lightning protection, fire alarm systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Knowledgeable about electrical codes and standards.
- Strong organizational abilities and teamwork skills.
- Expertise in 3D modeling software and AutoCAD.
- Capable of working under pressure and adhering to deadlines.
- Bilingual with excellent communication capabilities.
- Self-motivated with a creative, logical, and analytical approach.
