Job Title: Legal Counsel and Manager of Contracts

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel and Manager of Contracts to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing contractual agreements, identifying risks, and providing recommendations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and negotiate contractual agreements with customers and suppliers
  • Conduct legal research and provide opinions on contractual matters
  • Participate in the preparation of bids and proposals packages
  • Monitor and manage contractual obligations and risks
  • Provide legal support and advice to senior stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Law degree (LLB, JD) and current membership in a provincial bar association
  • Minimum 5 years of experience practicing commercial law
  • Working knowledge of government procurement policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with hardware, software, and technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List
