Job Title: Legal Counsel

Vista Credit Corp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our executive team and ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the executive team on all aspects of the business, including corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support the company's business objectives and mitigate risks.
  • Manage and coordinate the company's legal affairs, including drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and other stakeholders to ensure the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on legal matters and ensure that all employees understand their legal obligations and responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • JD/LLB degree and a member in good standing of the Ontario Law Society.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
