Family Lawyer and General Practice Specialist

Position: Family Lawyer
Location: Sidney
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage family law and general practice files, handling a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
- Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials, instructing support staff and receiving instructions from clients.
- Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications, negotiating at mediations and appearing at trials.
- Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end, with experience in general civil litigation being an asset.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.
- Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently, with strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to become part of the community served and enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
Compensation:
- TBD by candidate and match with firm.
