Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Human Resources Services, this position is responsible for providing confidential administrative support related to the coordination of the recruitment process, primarily for teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post teaching positions on ApplyToEducation
  • Schedule Occasional Teacher Interviews, including reviewing on-line application packages, contacting applicants, organizing interview teams, booking interviews, and preparing interview packages
  • Prepare confidential documentation, including Long Term Occasional (LTO) teacher placement letters, Occasional Teacher correspondence to successful/unsuccessful candidates, and answering teacher application queries
  • Ensure accurate and efficient data entry into the Human Resources Information System for new occasional teachers and update application documentation/information accordingly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or deemed equivalency
  • Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader (CHRP or CHRL) designation is an asset
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a Human Resources Department
  • Experience with a school board would be considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong professionalism, discretion, and adherence to confidentiality
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills, including experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and maintaining Human Resources Information Systems
  • Experience with Laserfiche, ApplyToEducation, and iSYS*Works would be considered an asset
