About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Manager to join our team at NEXT WAVE LOGISTICS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from point of origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping and Tracking: Arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit to ensure timely delivery.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities are in compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Policies and Standards: Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to optimize logistics and reduce costs.
  • Revenue Management: Monitor and analyze revenue streams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Cargo Management: Record and track cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Operations Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and ability to handle a large workload.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, team player, and able to work in a permanent role with a 30-35 hour workweek.
