Job Summary

Thompson Bus & Freight Ltd. is seeking a reliable and skilled Shuttle Bus Driver to join our team. As a Shuttle Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations
    • Operate buses to transport passengers safely and efficiently.
    • Provide passengers with accurate information on fares, schedules, and stops.
    • Collect fares and record transactions accurately.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure passengers board and exit the vehicle safely.
    • Deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
    • Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and other drivers using two-way radio systems.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
    • Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Complete logbooks and reports accurately and on time.
    • Submit reports to management as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a bus driver.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Class 2/2F/C Licence (buses with more than passengers).
  • Personal Qualities
    • Attention to detail.
    • Hand-eye coordination.
    • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Work Environment
    • 40 hours per week.
    • Work Term: Permanent.
    • Work Language: English.
