Key Responsibilities- Transportation Operations
- Operate buses to transport passengers safely and efficiently.
- Provide passengers with accurate information on fares, schedules, and stops.
- Collect fares and record transactions accurately.
- Customer Service
- Assist passengers with disabilities and ensure their safe boarding and disembarking.
- Deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and other drivers using two-way radio systems.
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
- Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Administrative Tasks
- Complete logbooks and reports accurately and on time.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a bus driver.
- Certifications and Licenses
- Class 2/2F/C Licence (buses with more than passengers).
- Personal Qualities
- Attention to detail.
- Hand-eye coordination.
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Language and Communication
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and colleagues.
As a Shuttle Bus Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with passengers and colleagues. You will be required to sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading passengers.
