About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Configured Products Designer to join our Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of customer design/configuration requests, implementing and validating new products, and maintaining existing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize products to meet customer application needs
  • Design and develop new configurable products to enhance customer value
  • Identify and develop product performance and integration specifications
  • Manage and conduct prototype testing and design validation methods
  • Maintain existing configurable products to improve process and manufacturing efficiencies
  • Perform stress and deflection analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Execute engineering calculations, including static and dynamic load application
  • Support the team in developing and communicating product training materials

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, or equivalent trade experience
  • Previous machine design and/or machine build experience desirable
  • FEA modelling, setup, and interpretation experience preferred
  • Controls/electrical design knowledge an asset
  • CAD modelling software experience an asset (Autodesk, Inventor)
