About the Role:

VON Canada is seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to clients in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with daily living activities, grooming, dressing, and bathing.
  • Assist with meal preparation and light household duties.
  • Provide respite care and support to clients and their families.
  • Monitor and maintain household safety and provide support with mobility and transfers.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Requirements:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA) or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
