About the Role:

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in Truro, Colchester & East Hants County. As a CCA, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including grooming, dressing, and bathing
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and light household duties
  • Provide respite care and support to clients and their families
  • Monitor and maintain household safety, and assist with mobility and transfers

Requirements:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA)
  • PSW, HSW, certification from another province or other related healthcare certifications or experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid required
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
