Job Summary:

Renfrew Educational Services, a leading not-for-profit organization, is seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and therapeutic needs of our students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop treatment plans for students with various needs, including psychoeducational, social/emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Provide counseling services, including play therapy, to students and their families.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Conduct assessments, develop behavior support plans, and provide strategies for caregivers, parents, and teachers.
  • Participate in diagnosis and capacity building for students with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Developmental Disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Code of Ethics for Psychologists, Code of Professional Conduct, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in counseling with youth and children with special needs and their families.
  • Experience with assessment, intervention, and counseling in various areas, including psychoeducational, social/emotional, behavioral, Autism, FASD, and Learning Disabilities.
  • Valid Alberta Driver's License and a clean driving record.
