Position Overview

As a Retail Sales Specialist , you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while meeting individual sales targets. Your responsibilities will include fostering teamwork, upholding merchandising standards, and protecting company assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage every customer, demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge and excellent service skills.
  • Stay informed about all promotional activities and marketing initiatives.
  • Support store operations through effective merchandising, display upkeep, and cleanliness.
  • Aid in the processing and restocking of merchandise while keeping an eye on inventory levels.
  • Assist with pricing adjustments within the department as needed.
  • Operate a computerized point of sale system for transactions, ensuring accurate sales data entry, payment processing, and handling of refunds and exchanges.
  • Reconcile daily sales figures and prepare financial reports for management review.
  • Utilize a thorough understanding of all retail merchandise, including pricing, product specifics, and stock locations.
  • Accurately manage merchandise receipt processes, including inspection, tagging, and display, while communicating any discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain an appealing store environment by organizing merchandise and ensuring cleanliness.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in retail sales.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Capability to operate equipment required for the role, including the ability to stand, stoop, lift up to 11 kilograms, and climb ladders.
