Position OverviewThe Aviation Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality ground and simulator flight instruction, adhering to aviation regulations and our training standards.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate pilot ground and simulator training sessions for clients enrolled in core, specialty, or enrichment courses.
- Design and prepare instructional materials that align with training objectives and meet client requirements.
- Assess and monitor trainee performance, providing recommendations for qualification or additional training as necessary.
- Maintain accurate training documentation for each client, supporting their achievement of specified goals.
- Identify and address client training challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with instructor qualification standards as per regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in the organization's drug and alcohol testing program.
- Possess an unrestricted ATP certificate or an equivalent Airline Transport Pilot License.
- If lacking an ATP, fulfill the requirements of relevant regulatory parts.
- Hold at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training.
- Preferred: A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight experience.
- Understanding of aviation safety standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with common aviation laws.
- Ability to effectively manage training sessions and deliver engaging instruction.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Willingness to accept feedback and engage in professional development.
In this role, the employee will frequently use their hands for tasks such as handling tools and controls, and will need to communicate effectively. The position may require standing, walking, sitting, climbing, and other physical activities. Candidates must have the physical capability to operate simulator controls and navigate the training environment safely. Vision requirements include the ability to see clearly at various distances and adjust focus as needed. The role may involve lifting and moving objects of varying weights. Employees may work near moving machinery and in diverse environmental conditions.
