About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Companion Caregiver at Spectrum Health Care. As a Companion Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their daily needs, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with basic household tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Provide respite care for clients, allowing their primary caregivers to take a break and recharge.
- Maintain awareness of clients' abilities, medical conditions, and personal preferences.
- Travel to clients' residences or facilities, providing care and support in a variety of settings.
Requirements
- Compassionate and empathetic individual with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to interact with clients and their families in a caring, courteous, and tactful manner.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is considered an asset.
- Updated immunization record and valid vulnerable sector police check.
