Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver PSW to provide personal care and homemaker/companion services to our clients in accordance with an established plan of care. The ideal candidate will be able to provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as perform homemaking tasks like vacuuming, dusting, and meal preparation. Essential Functions:
  • Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Perform homemaking activities, such as vacuuming, dusting, and meal preparation
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family members
  • Assist with medications that the client self-administers
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent certificate
  • Successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker, Certified Nurse Aide or Health Care Aide course, or equivalent
  • Meets passing criteria on PSW skills test
  • Meets passing criteria on DEARS test (Drugs and Ethics test)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
