Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver PSW to provide personal care and homemaker/companion services to our clients in accordance with an established plan of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as perform homemaking tasks like cleaning and laundry. Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Perform homemaking tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Assist with medication administration and provide companionship and respite services
  • Meet the physical and emotional needs of clients, including providing emotional support and companionship
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent certificate
  • Successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker, Certified Nurse Aide or Health Care Aide course, or equivalent
  • Meets passing criteria on PSW skills test and DEARS test
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
