GFL Environmental is seeking a Scale Operator to work in our Grande Pointe, MB location.

The Scale Operator will be responsible for accurately measuring and weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, as well as maintaining records of these transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and weigh trucks using scale equipment
  • Record transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate with on-site crew via radio to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide custom TDG paperwork to outbound trucks
  • Assist office staff with custodial services and grounds keeping activities
  • Empty trash daily and ensure proper disposal
  • Clean and maintain the scale house and surrounding area

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets
