GFL Environmental is seeking a Scale Operator to work in our Grande Pointe, MB location.

The Scale Operator will be responsible for accurately measuring and weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, as well as maintaining records of these transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the scale equipment to ensure accurate measurements
  • Communicate with on-site crew via radio to coordinate truck movements
  • Provide TDG paperwork to outbound trucks
  • Assist office staff with custodial services and grounds keeping activities
  • Empty trash daily and ensure proper disposal
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the scale house and surrounding area

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets

Important Details: This position is considered safety-sensitive and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
