GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Scale Operator to join our team in Grande Pointe, MB.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring, weighing, and checking equipment to maintain relevant records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and weigh incoming and outgoing trucks
  • Communicate with on-site crew via radio and advise on truck contents
  • Maintain and update records with GFL loader operators
  • Provide custom TDG paperwork to outbound trucks
  • Assist office staff with custodial services and grounds keeping
  • Empty trash daily and ensure proper disposal
  • Clean and maintain the scale house and surrounding area

Requirements:

  • A self-starter with strong relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills in oral and written English
  • Ability to follow instructions and understand emergency procedures
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and precautions
  • Onsite training will be provided
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets

Important Details: This position is safety-sensitive and requires completion of drug and alcohol testing.
