About the Role

EBT Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join their team in Medicine Hat, AB.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare Compilation Engagement Reports for owner-managed businesses.
  2. Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
  3. Occasional bookkeeping duties, including bank account reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable, payroll calculations, WCB, GST reporting, preparation of T4's, and other bookkeeping tasks.

Requirements

  1. Task prioritization and organization – ability to manage multiple deadlines and determine priority.
  2. Self-starter – ability to identify areas of improvement and take initiative.
  3. Strong client relations skills.
  4. Self-confidence/maturity.
  5. Proficiency in Caseware, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Taxprep, Microsoft Office – Excel and Word, and ability to quickly learn additional software programs.
