Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in our accounting processes at Hat's Restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program, or a non-university certificate or diploma lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare payroll cheques.
  • Maintain and balance various accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Post journal entries accurately.
  • Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance.
  • Compile trial balances of books.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in the following software is essential:

  • MS Excel
  • MS Outlook
  • MS PowerPoint
  • MS Word
Work Environment

The role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
