Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of People and Culture to lead our Human Resources function and drive business success. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Human Resources Strategy in support of our Vice President's Annual Strategic Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our Human Resources Strategy, aligned with our business objectives and goals.
  • Design and implement talent acquisition processes that attract and retain top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Develop and manage our staffing plan, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skills to meet operational needs.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to ensure successful implementation of HR Metrics, including gender parity and bilingual representation.
  • Implement our professional development strategy, providing training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Manage and coordinate employee culture training, leadership development, and succession planning to enhance our competitive ability.
  • Ensure that our managers and employees have the skills, knowledge, and competencies to fulfill their roles and contribute to our business success.
  • Review, manage, and improve our performance review process, ensuring it is fair, transparent, and aligned with our business objectives.
  • Manage the promotion process, ensuring it is fair, transparent, and aligned with our business objectives and diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
  • Coordinate Human Resources investigations, ensuring they are conducted in a fair, transparent, and timely manner.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior Human Resources role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with unions and collective labour agreements, grievance processes, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Proven track record of leading high-volume talent acquisition teams and implementing innovative attraction campaigns.
  • Experience in a performance-driven environment, with a focus on KPIs and business outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of Federal legislation and regulations affecting Human Resources functions, including the Federal Government Employer's Equity Program and Occupational Health & Safety.
