Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at St. Louis Bar and Grill. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that our restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that our financial resources are utilized effectively.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and submit reports, providing regular updates on restaurant performance and operations.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment, with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus, flexibility, team player, and dependability.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
