Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Centre Guard to join our team at the Bay Adelaide Centre in Toronto.

Job Summary:

The Security Operations Centre Guard will be responsible for monitoring and operating all systems in the Security Operations Centre, including communication systems, CCTV, access control, and security records. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate all systems in the Security Operations Centre, including communication systems, CCTV, access control, and security records.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to security staff and maintain a positive relationship with Brookfield representatives and their guests.
  • Record all information in a detailed and factual manner and follow communication guidelines issued by the client.
  • Be familiar with all Brookfield Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Procedures.
  • Have very strong communication and customer service skills and write detailed, factual, and concise incident reports for all incidents.
Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Knowledge of security technology, including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Intrusion, and Incident Management systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and regulations in the area of security.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills and ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
Certification Requirements:
  • COVID Double Vaccinated.
  • 3 years of security experience.
  • Minimum 1 Year of Dispatch or Scheduling Experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Security Supervisory Experience.
  • CPO Certification.
  • Police Foundations Diploma / Law and Justice Studies Degree.
  • A Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
  • Standard First Aid, CPR Level C.

The Security Operations Centre Guard will work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment and will be required to work efficiently under stress. The successful candidate will be a team player and will have excellent communication and customer service skills.
