Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, IT Special Project Management to join our team at Resolute Forest Products. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of multiple IT concurrent Special Projects, including Merger and Acquisition (M&A) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the work of various IT functions within the scope of a broader project
  • Lead a high-performing team of ad-hoc Project Managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities
  • Build and maintain integrated schedules for projects, track program interdependencies, and maintain and present status of the program
  • Establish and ensure execution of project execution plans, oversee project delivery, and ensure projects meet quality standards, deliverables, timelines, and budgets
  • Administer and manage budgets for executing various IT Special and M&A projects, ensure each project meets their individual budget, and perform resource capacity analysis to ensure project resources are applied efficiently and effectively
  • Draft and present status updates using effective verbal and written communication, track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project performance, and prepare regular reports and present insights to leadership
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • PMP certification and/or training
  • 15 years of hands-on experience across various IT domains with a deep understanding of infrastructure, applications, security, and other critical aspects
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Project Management including end-to-end experience for medium-to-large projects and programs, with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, and knowledge of Project Management tools
