Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join our Special Projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing special large-scale projects, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and manage special large-scale projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Client Management: Represent and support clients in various types and sizes of multidisciplinary projects.
  • Solution Development: Proactively contribute to the search for solutions aimed at maximizing the quality and performance of projects.
  • Issue Identification and Mitigation: Identify and monitor issues that may affect budgets and timelines within established milestones.
  • Contract Management: Assist in managing clients/consultants/contractors/suppliers and responding to technical inquiries.
  • Design and Construction Management: Assist in design management and construction management.
  • Tendering and Contract Negotiation: Participate in the process of calls for tenders, awarding, and negotiation of construction and professional services contracts.
  • Technical Skills: Have the ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical specifications.
  • Contract Administration: Assemble, manage, and deliver construction contracts and professional scopes of work.
  • Project Management: Assist in overall project management activities, including Contract Administration, Scheduling Management, Procurement Management, Permitting Management, etc.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering.
  • Professional Certification: To be entitled as Professional Engineer by a Canadian organization (e.g., OIQ, PEO, etc.) or be in the process of becoming one.
  • Experience: Cumulate between 2 and 5 years of experience.
  • Skills: Skills in work organization, priority management, and an interest in teamwork in an environment that can change direction quickly.
  • Language: Fluent in oral and written French; fluent in oral and written English to communicate with different stakeholders for projects across Canada and the United States.
