Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in Project Engineering Design and Construction, with a focus on contaminated sites. This position is integral to our North American operations, particularly within our specialized team based in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior leadership and mentorship in the execution of environmental remediation projects.
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams, offering environmental insights to enhance project outcomes.
- Oversee design projects, managing teams, budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
- Lead the development and evaluation of technical environmental reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Engage in local, national, and international projects, which may involve occasional travel to support other office locations.
- Foster a supportive environment for junior team members, promoting learning and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- RMP designation is advantageous.
- Proven experience in devising and executing strategies for complex remediation and risk management.
- Demonstrated expertise in the technical delivery of investigations, designs, and construction support for environmental remediation projects across Canada and the US.
- Familiarity with Canadian and/or US Federal projects is a plus.
- Strong grasp of Canadian environmental legislation, particularly in Ontario, with an understanding of US environmental regulations being beneficial.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficient report writing capabilities.
