Senior Environmental Project Manager

At GHD, we're committed to solving the world's biggest challenges in the areas of environment, water, energy, and urbanization. We're seeking a Senior Staff Environmental Engineer to join our team in a Project Engineering Design and Construction role, with a specialization in contaminated sites.
About the RoleWe work for public and private sector clients across Canada and the US, and we're looking for someone who is curious, stimulated by fresh thinking, and has a desire to shape our communities in new, positive ways. As part of a truly global team, you'll be at the forefront of driving change and working on complex and rewarding projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior leadership and mentorship with respect to the completion of environmental remediation projects.
- Work within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other GHD teams.
- Manage design projects including project teams, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage the development and review of technical environmental reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Opportunity to work on local, national, and global projects, which may at times entail supporting other GHD office locations requiring some travel.
- Support and mentor junior team members in a learning and collaborative atmosphere.
- Civil or environmental engineering degree.
- Designation considered an asset.
- Experience with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management.
- Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, designs including drawings and specifications and construction support for environmental remediation projects in Canada and the US.
- Experience working on Canadian and/or US Federal projects is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Canadian (including Ontario) environmental legislation.
- Understanding of US environmental legislation considered an asset.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and report writing skills.
