About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Engineering professional to join our team at GHD. As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the development of sustainable solutions for environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare technical documents, including environmental reports, technical specifications, and work plans, for review and approval.
  • Coordinate and schedule project-related work, including working with other GHD staff, external contractors, and public entities to obtain necessary permits.
  • Conduct field work and oversight associated with environmental investigations and remediation activities, including site investigations, contractor management, drilling, soil sampling, and groundwater sampling.
  • Develop and manage long-term operation, maintenance, and monitoring of remedial systems and risk management measures.
Requirements
  • Relevant Bachelor of Environmental/Civil Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario is an asset.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the environmental engineering field, with experience working in a construction setting an asset.
  • Ability to travel for field work, with willingness to work long hours, in inclement weather conditions, and in remote locations.
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills to effectively express technical information to multiple audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and be highly communicative.
  • Valid driver's license, with an MVR check performed prior to hire.
