The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for steering the Market Unit, managing all functions within the Technology Centers, and ensuring that established business goals are met while all initiatives are executed successfully. This position is focused on propelling the organization forward and fostering a sustainable future within the designated Markets. The Senior Vice President holds ultimate responsibility for the growth, development, and effective utilization of personnel and facilities, providing the necessary capabilities for achieving enduring growth. A significant portion of this role involves long-term strategic planning to shape the future of the organization. The incumbent will collaborate with the senior leadership team to realize the Eclipse Vision and promote the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture efficiently and effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete accountability for the financial health and success of the Technology Centers within the Market Unit by achieving business case objectives and revenue goals.
- Supervise Market Unit operations to ensure efficiency in production, quality assurance, service excellence, and prudent resource management, specifically overseeing the General Managers in each Technology Center and the essential support functions that drive business success.
- Conduct regular evaluations of the Technology Centers' performance and partner with General Managers to ensure that strategic plans are being implemented effectively.
- Analyze activity reports, operational metrics, and financial documents to assess overall business performance in alignment with the annual business strategy, adjusting objectives and plans as necessary based on current conditions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance revenue and reduce costs through careful development and execution of operating budgets, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources.
- Assess the performance of the leadership team within the Technology Centers to ensure compliance with established policies and their contributions toward achieving defined objectives.
- Collaborate closely with senior business development leaders to ensure that the sales pipeline is aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews with relevant stakeholders, including General Managers, to set goals, track progress, and make necessary adjustments throughout the fiscal year to drive success.
- Establish strong relationships with client executives, ensuring a clear escalation path and that customers receive comprehensive value.
- Implement corrective measures for any negative trends or objectives that are at risk.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Business Management, with relevant experience in the Automation sector.
- Certifications such as PMP, P.Eng, MBA, or CPA are advantageous.
- Over 10 years of experience in a leadership role within custom automation or advanced manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior management operational capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management best practices, including tools for budget, schedule, and issue management, as well as key performance indicators.
