We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to enhance our vibrant team. In this essential position, you will oversee and refine our payroll operations across North America and beyond, ensuring adherence to regulations and excellence in every aspect. Your proficiency in managing high-volume, multi-jurisdiction payroll processing, along with your capability to handle intricate benefits administration, will be crucial in supporting our diverse and expanding workforce.

Work Environment:

This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing for both US and Canadian employees.
  • Ensure compliance with Payroll Compliance Certification (PCP).
  • Oversee high-volume payroll processing across multiple provinces or states.
  • Handle payroll processing for international locations, including Europe (e.g., UK, Denmark) as needed.
  • Utilize HCM and payroll systems effectively, particularly BambooHR and Bluemarble.
  • Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail.
  • Engage effectively with a diverse range of vendors and service providers.
  • Administer full-cycle payroll for North American and international employees on a semi-monthly and monthly basis.
  • Optimize Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reconciliation.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Prepare year-end reconciliations and assist with annual audits.
  • Serve as the primary user for the payroll and HCM system, BambooHR.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to manage employee benefit plans and liaise with various vendors.
  • Generate journal entries and month-end reports to support the finance department.
  • Conduct benefits billing reconciliation between benefits providers and payroll/HR records.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations on government remittances.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Potentially expand responsibilities into other treasury activities, such as cash management, foreign exchange management, and procurement.
