About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at OJ's Cold Lake Inc. as a key member of our restaurant operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective food preparation and service.
    • Train and develop kitchen staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Establish and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient workflow.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including sales, inventory, and employee performance.
    • Develop and implement budget and cost estimates for kitchen operations.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Standing for extended periods and walking.
    • Physically demanding work.
