Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a range of medical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with our Emergency Department physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and enhance the patient experience.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members, including medical students and residents.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in emergency medicine.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant in the province of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency medicine or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
