We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Executive Director, Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience and Chief Clinical Information Officer. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the use of digital health solutions across Fraser Health.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of long-term strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience portfolio.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that digital health strategies align with organizational objectives and translate clinical needs into technology solutions that optimize care quality and patient safety.
- Advocate for required data elements and nomenclature within CISs regionally, provincially, and nationally.
- Develop and manage budgets for area of responsibility, including monitoring budget performance and planning and adjusting operations and/or staffing to meet projections and annual targets.
- Identify and evaluate clinical/medical practice and patient safety risks and internal controls for new digital health initiatives across FHA and identify partnership opportunities.
- Graduation from a school of nursing or allied health discipline.
- Master's Degree in Health or business administration, health information management or related field.
- Ten to fifteen years recent, related clinical leadership experience in the health care sector including experience with electronic clinical systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current practicing registration with an applicable regulatory body such as the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring and Courageous and creates the conditions for people to succeed.
- Professional/Technical Capabilities: Broad knowledge of current healthcare issues, trends, government directives, legislation, public policies, and issues related to technology in health care.
