Chief Clinical Information Officer, Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience Leader

The Executive Director, Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience and Chief Clinical Information Officer is a key member of the Digital Patient and Provider Experience leadership team at Fraser Health. This role is responsible for leading the Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience portfolio, driving the organization's digital health strategy, and ensuring seamless, digitally enabled patient and provider experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience portfolio.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure strategic plans, annual objectives, and work plans align with the organization's vision and values.
- Build clinical and medical informatics capacity across the organization, promoting the adoption of digital health solutions.
- Drive change in the delivery of care across all settings, ensuring quality of care is not compromised.
- Provide leadership and expert advice on clinical informatics, practice readiness, and provider experience.
- Develop and monitor an annual budget for the area of responsibility, identifying and costing new initiatives and savings strategies.
- Identify and evaluate clinical/medical practice and patient safety risks and internal controls for new digital health initiatives.
- Advocate for required data elements and nomenclature within CISs regionally, provincially, and nationally.
- Graduation from a school of nursing or allied health discipline.
- Master's Degree in Health or business administration, health information management, or related field.
- Ten to fifteen years recent, related clinical leadership experience in the health care sector, including experience with electronic clinical systems.
- Current practicing registration with an applicable regulatory body.
- Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous.
- Professional/Technical Capabilities: Broad knowledge of current healthcare issues, trends, government directives, legislation, public policies, and issues related to technology in healthcare.
