Executive Director, Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience and Chief Clinical Information Officer

About the Role:
The Executive Director, Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience and Chief Clinical Information Officer is a key member of the Digital Patient and Provider Experience leadership team at Fraser Health. This role is responsible for leading the Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience portfolio, working in close collaboration with senior leadership to ensure the organization's digital health strategy is delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience portfolio.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the organization's digital health strategy is aligned with its vision, values, and purpose.
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of clinical informatics and provider experience initiatives, including electronic medical records, electronic health records, and other digital health solutions.
- Advocate for required data elements and nomenclature within CISs regionally, provincially, and nationally.
- Develop and manage budgets for the Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience portfolio.
- Lead and manage a team of staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the Clinical Informatics and Provider Experience portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a school of nursing or allied health discipline.
- Master's Degree in Health or business administration, health information management or related field.
- Ten to fifteen years recent, related clinical leadership experience in the health care sector, including experience with electronic clinical systems.
- Current practicing registration with an applicable regulatory body such as the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.

- Professional/Technical Capabilities: Broad knowledge of current healthcare issues, trends, government directives, legislation, public policies, and issues related to technology in health care.
