Clinical Informatics Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Provider Experience. This role will play a critical part in shaping the future of healthcare experience at Fraser Health.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of strategic plans, goals, and objectives for Provider Experience services across Fraser Health.
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure a provider-centric lens is advanced and supported in the design of clinical information systems and digital health solutions.
- Assess competency and develop corrective learning plans in partnership with medical leadership.
- Oversee the development of long-range strategic plans, goals, and annual objectives for the implementation and sustainment of Meditech Expanse.
- Manage and advocate for required budget and resources.
- Advise the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and Executive Director (ED) on strategic objectives and implementation of major projects.
- Develop and recommend new and/or changed policies and procedures as required to meet statutory and operational reporting requirements.
- Facilitate the validation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for measurement of process and outcomes.
- Direct the development of strategic clinical informatics initiatives that reflect the dynamic nature of healthcare.
- Define, lead, and oversee an overall change management approach and methodology.
- Manage designated staff, including selecting, directing, monitoring, and disciplining as needed.
- Evaluate risks and issues, and investigate, resolve, and plan around applicable legal issues and standards.
- Develop the operating and capital budgets, including budget preparation, authorization control, allocation of resources, and monitoring budget performance.
- Master's Degree in Health or Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.
- Seven to ten years of recent, related leadership experience in the healthcare sector, including experience with electronic clinical systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical practice and the roles of multidisciplinary healthcare team members within a patient and family-centered care model.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in redesigning clinical processes to improve clinical practice, efficiency, and patient care.
- Project management experience, including detailed scope identification, progress monitoring and reporting, issue and risk management.
- Facilitation experience, including working with interdisciplinary committees to render decisions in a timely fashion.
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to document work appropriately.
- Demonstrable skills in workforce management, change management, and engagement.
- Resourceful, well-organized, systematic analysis, strategic and critical thinking, attention to detail, leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative, deal with frequent and random changes, and make decisions for a wide variety of complex business matters.
- Demonstrated ability to use database, spreadsheet, and word processing software at an advanced level.
